Warlock:master of the arcane.
which is basically an updated version of master of magic, sans the depth and customization.. but a try "just one more turn" game.

Almost through Max Payne 3, which was really fun to start with.. but I have the feeling I'm playing Operation Wolf again
Also, plenty.. plenty of bad technical implementations in the cover system.. I'm shooting walls or straight up the air when the engine decides I probably don't want to fire at the baddies.. which kind of kills the whole idea of a cover system in the first place (yeah, I got the game from Rockstar, maybe that's the difference?)

But still: Battlefield 3.. just 155 hours into it now

Ive been meaning to catalog my games collection for years and many times I've started to write them down but given up. Anyway while looking at some old cdr's I came across a rtf file with an old incomplete list on it so I'd thought I'd share.

And I take it you played all of them at least a bit

Impressive list and I can see some great classics there. Lots of good old simulators on that list which I admired and played.

afaik ive played all of them (at least to some extent)

ps: flight sims were my first love back in the dos days
f-15 strike eagle, f-117 stealth fighter, strike commander, jetfighter 2, tfx, falcon 3, gunship ect
(i could go on and on and on )

just realised only cd games are on that list no floppy games (not that I have a floppy drive anymore, not connected to a pc anyway. I must have one in the house somewhere though)

Yeah! Sims were my thing as well (and still are to some degree). My first experience was on C-64 with a game called Tomahawk (helicopter) and REVS (F1). Then on AMIGA Gunship2000 and Tornado to name just two. Oh and I loved Silent Hunter, played every iteration of it at least a bit Still I have to get into SH5 which I bought on Steam when it was on sale.
Back in Poland my brother still keeps rather large collection of floppy disk games mostly for AMIGA but also C-64 and PC, I mean there will be anywhere between 200-1000 disks ranging from 8'' to 3'' ones (yes, 3'' Amstrad ).

Been playing the 2004/5 quasi sequel The Bard's Tale. It can be rather funny, though the Forest Dungeon(Literally its name) is just flat fucking out the most boring area I've ever played in a video game.

Plus apparently if you have a semi-modern card(Anything DX10 or later) the game runs a bit iffy. The world map slows way the fuck down, summoning your, well, summons slows stuff a fair bit, and whenever a cutscene happens that has some form of magical communication(A specific particle effect is triggered on all; of these), it slows down nearely as badly as the world map.

Some people report hat enabling controller support or disabling vsync help or cure these problems. I did both and eliminated the summon slowdown, but not the far more annoying world map and cutscene slowdown.

At least it doesn't effect the cutscene audio. that would be a game killer in something so based off of its writing. The world map is rarely visited, so it's basically just annoying.

yeah, when I registered a lot of my games were missing too. I'm curious to see if they added to the DB but I have so many games left to add it's kind of boring when I think about it.

I'd have to say Deus Ex,

Honorable mentioned would be

Freespace 2 open. WW2 war in the Pacific in space, truly awesome

F1 challenge with mods I have nearly every season from 1975 to 2010 plus touring cars, sports cars, supercars, gt cars. It's every track based racing sim you could ever want.

Enemy Engaged Comanche vs Houkum, Fantastic dynamic campaign sometimes I will engage the action cam and watch the entire war play out.

Morrowind, for the way it created a complete world

Some quick ones on PC:

- Geoff Crammond's F1GP 2 (with Thrustmaster wheel)
- TOCA 2
- SIMBIN Mods for F12K and F1Challenge (though with force feedback, one with I think Touring Cars is one I probably liked best, partly because it had the coolest force feedback I have experienced to date by a mile)
- a beautiful F1 game using the 3Dfx to great effect by I think Ubisoft? (was released I think not that long after GC's F1GP 2)
- Warcarft 2,3 (Played a lot of local MP with my flatmates, Command & Conquer too)
- Sierra Adventures (Leisure Suit Larry I-III, Space Quest, Police Quest, Kings Quest, Gabriel Knight ... )
- Wolfenstein 3D (really played that quite a lot, if I think back to it)
- Doom, Quake
- Descent
- Classic Tetris
- Super Tetris
- Digger
- Tapper
- Prince of Persia
- Paratrooper

I could probably go on for quite a while. Not a lot of modern PC stuff there, though for me. If PCs hadn't been so expensive at the moment, I would have actually consdered getting a decent gaming rig, but even then, when it comes down to it, I'm not sure what I would play.

Played some BF:Bad Company 2 after a loooong time, and it still feels good. I realised how different it is from BF3 and not in a bad way at all. Both games have a different flavour and both are damn good fun. After playing BF3 for six months, BC2 feels slower and "quieter" to me. Slower and tense, more like the old BF games before BF3.

Geoff Crammond is a god, although his later sims GP3/4 while technically great lacked soul imho
The simbin mod for F1 99-02 was FIA-GT http://www.racesimulations.com/F1C/1...loads/802.html
If your thinking of a touring car mod it was probably ETCC 2003 Evolution
http://www.racesimulations.com/F1C/E...loads/367.html
If you are still looking for a F1 99-02 mod I would recommend Prototype-C from Virtua-LM
http://www.virtua-lm.com/
I love the force-feedback in F1 99-02 you can really feel the road texture and its actually quite soothing

Was that one of the first titles for the original playstation? the cars sounded like a bunch of hornets and the game had nothing on GP2.

Just played through the Mass Effect series for the first time in a while. I may be mistaken, but I think Bioware changed the ending of Mass Effect 3 by adding an epilogue that wasn't there before (after the crashed Normandy sequence, before the credits). I really felt it brought together the ending in a way that was missing before. That is, unless I just blocked out that particular part of the ending...

Edit: Yeah, just looked it up, and the endings are indeed new. Really happy they were added!

favorite game of all time? ...man... so difficult. In uncertain order:

Star Control 2
Uncharted Waters 2
Ultima IV
Romance of the Three Kingdoms IX
Starflight
Harvest Moon Boy & Girl
PT-109
MechWarrior 2 (crescent hawks revenge, right?)
SimCity 3000
GTA San Andreas
Saturn Bomberman
Civ 3
Fallout
Autoduel
Earthbound
Space Hulk
Grim Fandango
True Love 95 ^^;;
A Tale in the Desert
Hero's Quest
Tactics Ogre
Warlords (2600 w/4 players)
Quake III Arena

...sorry for the spammy list. Once I got going I couldn't bear to leave others out, esp highlights of different genres. The first three are easy top three. The rest are kind of hard to put in any meaningful order.
