Default Having a problem with OpenGL....

Hi, I'm having trouble with my openGL drivers. I have an ATI Radeon x1600 512mb vram but only have openGL 1.1 and not 2.0 (I've checked this with a program called realtech VR OpenGL extension viewer). I've tried uninstalling my current video card drivers and software related then running driver cleaner (a program which cleans out any video card driver fragments left behind after uninstallation) in safe mode, then reinstalling new video card drivers. And yes, I currently have up to date ATI drivers (Catalyst 7.1). I've tried installing new drivers for my motherboard. I've spent several months researching and requesting for help, but none was able to help me. Does anyone have any suggestions I can try? Thanks

oh i thought that link was part of ur signature.
I've checked it and it helped me a little bit. When he says his ATI OpenGL ICD, earlier today, in the openGL extension viewer, it showed me Intel Extreme ICD when I have ATI. I deleted the intel extreme drivers with driver cleaner but now nothing shows up as an ICD, not even ATI when I reinstalled the drivers.

no, im not running a laptop, im on a desktop. Yea, its wierd that i have an intel extreme driver when I didn't even have an intel extreme graphic card in the past. My 2 vidoe cards were just S3 ProSavage (in the past) and ATI rii now.

Oh, and about t hat thing that I can't install my ATI drivers in safe mode, is there a way to fix that?

Davros, thank you for your time and effort.

And no, I always install my video card drivers via official installation from manafucterers itself and not from the add new hardware.

yes, my monitor is plugged into my video card. i think if my monitor wasn't plugged into my video card, I wouldn't get no display at all.

You would if you have video integrated into your motherboard, which I assumed you did given that you said you had Intel video drivers installed.
