I've recently fallen out of favor with fighting games in general, but this one might bring me back into that area. At the time it's coming out, it'll be the prettiest on the PS3 until MotorStorm comes out.

I never had the chance to go "proffesional" with it, since I got into it with VF4 and didnt have the time to go in depth with it, but I am definetely looking forward to it. Me and my neighbour love the serires and arrange some fights.

We are both looking forward to this.

Loved VF since 1... not enamored with Sega's publishing strategy... I will probably pick it up anyway though...

I know, I know. Truth is, there's really not much to play on it anyhow. I mainly got it to use as a computer. I'm borrowing a mac mini from a friend currently. He needs it back tho, so I'll be openening the PS3 and feeding it Yellow Dog soon. I do want to play RR7 but as a long time RR fan I know it will have lost it's shine and become so many fond memories in less than a month- And there will still be no worthwile games out then.

Besides, I got a Wii at launch, too. And it's been much better suited to my current living situation. (In case anyone doesn't know I was in a motorbike accident a few months back and it really turned my shit upside down.)

So yeah, I'm the only dork in the world with a launch PS3 sitting there in the box.

Ok i know i'll get some people dying on me, but it's the 5th of January now, and Sony keeps saying "Euro launch in early 2007"....

Am i the only one who thinks that by now there should really be a set date? it's less than 2 months away now - if they stick to the March 07 target.

I just have the feeling we're in for a surprise, and not a pleasant one either... *remembers the PSP delays*

I have a strong feeling they will announce a Euro launch date @ CES. Or atleast very close to CES. Any later and it really seems they are pushing it if they want people to think they are serious on a March/spring timeframe.

That said, I agree with Kittonwy. The euro launch seems like it will have everything the NA/JP launch didnt. I mean look at what could appear for launch:

Singstar
Eye of Judgement
Motorstorm
Heavenly Sword
Resistance
F1
Virtua Tennis 3
Virtua Fighter 5
Oblivion
EA games of course
Ubisoft games (rainbow 6, graw2)
Armored Core 4
then you have the arguable duds of the JP/NA launches and every game that came afterwards

Least they could do after delaying for so long I supposed.

I'd say there is a good chance not all those games will inevitably make it (I'm looking at Eye of Judgment and Heavenly Sword, mainly).

A launch with all the normal junk (EA/Ubi) + Resistance + F1 + VF5 + Motorstorm + Singstar certainly wouldn't suck though!

Possibly. The lack of heavenly sword media has me in doubts as well. But I still think eye of judgement will make euro launch. IIRC it was supposed to be a NA launch title back during e3, then a delay of some sort unofficially kicked in when euro launch got delayed. Most of the signs still point to it being a early 07 title. The Best Buy kiosks slide from a while back for example, it had eyetoy noted for early 07 in the actual kiosks. If not at the launch, I would suspect it will be mighty close (heavenly sword included).

Doesn't make sense with all the "production issues fixed" and "PS3's sitting on store shelves" articles, though.

Well they are US PS3s... It's not like they can just re-route them over here...

But it does tell me that they can produce PS3's in volume now. So why would they further-delay Europe?
