very nice. I think I'm slowly warming up to the art direction. The modelling is definitely a high-point.

I don't know if it's the post processing effects but everything just looks so clean and CG like.

Also everything is so smooth, 60fps maybe?

It reminds me of Grandia II style for whatever reason.
Looks cute and engaging. A great story and we might have a winner !

I know it sounds strange but it looks very 3D, great claymation feeling but also CG feeling at the same time...

What's the matter, the 360 not powerful enough for that extra 0.1 FPS?

Sorry, 29.97fps to be more specific and that is becuase the video is formated for NTSC brodcast standards.

More TV ads, this game looks awesome.

Seems MS are really going out of their way to promote this title in Japan.

NEW VIDEO almost 3 weeks before the Japanese launch.

No3 in Japanese famitsu TOP 10.

Quote:
Yes, you've read it right. In the top 10 poll of the most popular magazine in Japan, Famitsu, Xbox 360’s RPG Blue Dragon has just managed its way up to the 3rd most anticipated game in this country, surprisingly leaving behind titanic titles in the region like Metal Gear Solid 4 and The Legend Of Zelda.

This is the first time ever that an Xbox or Xbox 360 game reaches such high levels of anticipation in the land of the rising sun. Big names like Sakaguchi, Toriyama and Uematsu and the massive advertising in Japan are undoubtedly the causes behind this achievement some would call a miracle.

I don't want to rain on any parades, as those who know me know that I love my Xbox360, but I've learned over the years that these Famitsu Top X lists don't mean anything to the general consumer in Japan. You'll often see overlap between what the hardcore readers of Famitsu want to play and what the general consumer will buy, but that isn't always the case.

It MIGHT happen that Blue Dragon will sell 500k X360's in Japan, but it's not terribly likely IMO and impossible to guess from a poll of harcore Japanese gaming otaku.

On topic: The game looks fantastic. Our very own Dragon Quest for X360 owners!!! Yeah!

Well it's already sold 100k pre-orders and it isn't even released yet, i'm sure plenty more will sell when it's released.

Too short.

The game looks really good however. Love the water and the production values appear to be really high.

Also the music in this game is just fantastic! Has such a whimsical and endearing feel and fits the game really well.

Check it out (right click, save target as):

Yea i agree it was too short, the music is great too

Was quite impressed when the camera zoomed out, seems to have a decent draw distance, and the lighting and shadowing seems to be very good.

I imported a JP system just for this game so can't wait for next week
