I guess I will never learn anything when it comes to any games dealing with EA. I bought BF for the 360 and I must say I am very disappointed. Although many will agree that its top draw is not the single player, Dice and EA should be embarrassed by the AI, Hit detection and overall graphics of the single player game. Sure it looks better then the Xbox 1 but IMO GRAW looks more next gen. (although again I was disappointed with AI in SP of GRAW as well). Again the game should of never shipped with the AI in this condition. I think it is actually worse then the Xbox 1 version and those who have played it will know what I am talking about. (Just a small complaint but you cannot change your controller config at all. Again why? Although you do get use to them after awhile I just dont like not having the options of changing my controller layout.)
Multiplayer. Well to start playing on EA servers which have already been having their problems and playing online is a mixed bag. (Least give us an option to create server and not depend solely on EA's) I thought they might have tried to put the chat feature of the PC version (squad chat and have a commander option or compromise of sorts) but nope. All the maps are of the Xbox 1 version (downloaded ones I believe were included) but seriously. Would it have really hurt EA or DICE to include new maps or try to bridge some of what made the PC version so great and made the Live features a strong integral part. (Oh and also the chat bug is still present from the Xbox version as well.) NO Co-Op: Now I thought this would of been one of the best things that would have really helped this game especially given its current state. But again no go. All developers should look to co-op in their games especially given the growing online base. To all those thinking about buying this I would say give it a rent first or if you have the Xbox version you might just be satisfied with it. I honestly dont think that a graphical upgrade warrants a $60 price tag but then again some will never learn and Im one of them I guess :~ One positive I will say is much like the Xbox 1 version with the right people in the game it is a very fun game but again without new maps or other added features it becomes repatitous very quickly PS. Please no flames if you disagree this is just my opinion of the game. If this topic has already been discussed please lock and point me to the recent board. |

I agree with some of what you said in general but.... I'm having more fun!
I've had no problem on LIVE smooth as silk and 24 players. As for friends and making private rooms I agree but I have GRAW and CoD2 for that. This game is addictive, (fast and easy to just jump into games) no waiting in the lobby while peopl do their taxes waiting to start a match. I can't wait for BF3. |

While I haven't tried the full version the multiplayer demo was a blast, they really nailed it and it ran without a hitch at all. Visually it is a little disappointing and just looks like a mix of the xbox version and the PC version, it's not GRAW but it is definitely more than satisfactory.

You know, the more I play this game the more beautiful it becomes.
I appreciate the vivid snow and sky colors in the day time levels, the beautiful explosions, the vast wide open draw distance (with battles in real time in the distance) the smooth as silk game play and anti-aliasing. *There are some problems with aliasing on certain architecture shadows but supposedly that will/may be fixed. Otherwise it looks stunning considering what it is doing. The physics are pretty danged cool as well (minus some minor annoyances). The battle and interaction physics with other players and the environment has created a game feel that I've never experienced before. |
