Wassup wit dat? That fabled DX9 part going to show up finally? Their recent AM2 support announcement didn't even include Mirage 3, so I've been more-or-less ready to pull the plug on the life-support on that one. . . Edit: Someone in IRC suggests this might be a by-blow of the ATI acquistion of XGI from SiS. . .

well, this is a Mirage 3 ! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:Mirage_IIICZ.jpg
XGI was basically SiS + Trident, and ATI bought the Trident part. so do they revert to the SiS brand? or is this only about SiS chipsets? wasn't SiS/XGI supposed to give up PC GPU cards and concentrate on embedded/mobile GPUs (which seems strange to me, as already everyone is making mobile GPU : ATI, NV, PowerVR, and even the Bitboyz) |
