Man...

I just play GT4 yesterday on my HDTV, the game look BEAUTIFUL!, just photo-realistic. I've play a lot of racers on other console, and none of them looking as good as GT4. Amazing what talented developers can do with the PS2 hardware

Just IMO off course

Racer or just driving game?
I would definitely give F-zero GX the title of best looking racer for consoles. There just didn't seem to be as much on screen when playing GT4.

Well, it's obvious that a PC racer would be the most impressive anyways...

Xpand Rally looks better than any console racer IMO (of the PS2/xbox gen).

I must say, i just can't play GT games anymore, they bore me to death, but having played GT4 on my HDTV at 1080i, it looks gorgeous.

I think that Rallysport C. 2 is the best looking racer of the OLD gen, by far

That game looks nice but it didn't impress me nearly as much as Xpand:

Well, there are a few - Xpand, TOCA3 etc... original Rallisport Challenge on the PC looked great too. But GT4 set an elusive standard that few PC racing games have come close to IMHO.

No it isn't. In GT4 it's upconverted, normally it's not.

A lot of people say Burnout is the most visceral; but Gran Turismo is the most believable.

If "this gen" = what I'm playing right now, then PGR3 blows the doors off GT4's graphics.

If "this gen" = the old console that I recently replaced with it's successor, then I would say that GT4 and Forza are very comperable, each having advantages and disadvantages to their graphics. Neither one is a clear winner in graphics to me.

Damage modeling of FOrza, combined with the 3d rendered wheels, and wicked touches like the way your calipers glow red and you seem them through teh spokes on your rims put Forza over the top for me. Also, the way every paint streak, or tiremark stayed on the track was pretty impressive.

forza looks very good, but when i look down, i see the gpu inside the box.. same with PC
But ps2 gives me the "how the hell can she do it" feel.

gt4 is pr0n for me

i would put forza and GT4 on same levels visually, but forza has more details in the backgrounds, better ai, online, etc. it's more taxing on the xbox gpu

but i just cant stop thinking why gt4 looks so distint from any other ps2 game. its just that good (not some tracks/cars)

I saw Forza but personally it didnt impress me as much as I expected
