Default Cat 5.13 & X1900XTX = no DDC (Display data channel) with Sony GDMF520

Do the current cat's 5.13 from de X1900-CD support this monitor? The drivers cann't read the info from the DDC and EDID cann't be used, so I have to take manual steps to set the refreshrates.

Edit maybe one of the mods can move this thread to another section, I dopped it here by accident.

my case, i dont even use the new ATI drivers (above 5.11), i cant disable DCC information so i cant use more than 75hz on my monitor (it goes all the way to 85hz in 1280x1024)

it doesn't even have refresh lock for games.... the new ATI control panel is Bad, very Bad

better luck

You cann't force it by unchecking EDID and manually setting values for max res and max refresh combined with refreshoverride?

I had a really strange problems with Catalyst drivers where Edid was read as corrupted, but switching to the dvi output with the vga adapter worked ok. The fix I found was to force the refresh in the control panel and wait some minutes. Then the screen goes black and edid is back. Strange, to say the least.

dcc information from my monitor tells the drivers he only supports 75hz... but its wrong reading!
my problem is that i cant find "turn off DCC" in the new drivers

fixing refresh rates is no prob (many good progs that do that for you)

CCC -> monitor properties -> attributes. Untick the "Use EDID" box

Why bother with another program when it's in the driver settings already? Display options -> 3D Refresh Rate Override. You obviously haven't looked very much.
