You know what? That's pretty cool! Now I can take my X360 home, and DL HD trailers for all the games I'm on the fence about.

MS should make a deal with Gamespot to provide downloadable video reviews to go with the games, that would be pretty damn sweet, or OXM maybe...

Or download the playable demo instead for some of them.

Pretty appealing (and seemingly with an eye towards good execution) I have to say. I find it amusing though that the movie preview is from the only studio still not on blu-ray - too funny. Again tough should add to the experience out-of-the box to have some cool things to download.

This is certainly a very good thing (free downloadable demo's), though its only to be expected surely?

How much is the cost for the points (later when you need to buy more)?

Retailers sell 1600 on a card for $19.99 US, however on Live they will offer packages starting with 500 points for $5.00.

I think you also earn points by playing games and accomplishing goals.

No, because the Points you buy stuff with are points that you buy with money! Achievement points are just accumulated as you play games. IIRC every game is alloted 1000points they can distribute as they see fit. Extremely gimmicky IMO, who cares??

OT Does anyone know the extent of Live! matchmaking?

It would be awesome if you select various simple criteria for example:
Age: 18-80
Language: Adult
Skill Level: Above Average

We also had the chance to designate our Gamer Zone, which has an effect on who we'd play against should we play a game over Xbox Live. The zones were divided into Recreation, Family, Pro, and Underground. Since were all so unbelievably incredible at everything, we decided to hop into the Pro Zone, where the people you'll play against are allegedly supposed to be well behaved and skilled at gaming. The Family Zone is geared more towards those who wish to avoid the harsh realities of online gaming profanity, the Recreational Zone for more casual gamers, and the Underground Zone for those who can't resist letting curse words fly.

A little clearer.
