While considering the differenced between console and PC's and the rules that apply, I came up with two important differences.
1. PC are "forwards compatible". You dont have to upgrade with every release as long as you're willing to deal with the quality of your older hardware. 2. Consoles are not truely backwards compatible in the sense that upgrading your console does not give the same performance to your current gen games. The interesting thing with Cell and the PS3 being so scaleable. Do you guys think either of these rules could change with PS3 and beyond? |
