I like following:
SH 1/2/3/4 MGS 1/2/3 (MGS1 ending theme was pure bliss) Halo DoA2 Unreal Tournament Wipeout XL Streets of Rage series Contra (NES) Killzone Fatal Frame 2 Tekken 3 God of War BF 1942 DMC1/3 These I can remember.... Did Ico have soundtrack\BG score? |

Mine:
- Final Fantasy VII, VIII, IX, X, X-2  - Metal Gear Solid 1, 2 & 3 - Zone of the Enders 1 & 2 (particularly the theme songs of both) - part 2 has an incredible one that just hyped me up... - Jak & Daxter, as part 2 & 3 somewhat... - Ratchet & Clank 1, 2 (cool stuff ^^ ) - WipEout games (inparticularly 2097 & Fusion) - Silent Hills (haven't played any of them, but love the OST) - Chrono Cross I'm not sure now, but I think Devil May Cry had quite an enjoyable OST as well... suited the gameplay... On the other hand, Gran Turismo (any one really) goes down in having the worst soundtrack of any racer I've ever played. Part 4 at least had some decent tracks (mainly the GOA-psychadelic ones) but the rest is just baaad.

Metal Gear Solid 2 and 3 have excellent soundtracks, but for me Final Fantasy VIII has, without a doubt, the best videogame soundtrack ever. FFVII and FFIX are up there too.
