Wow these must be the glory days for Nvidia PR. A far cry from the dark ages of the NV30.

Oh, I dunno, if I had to pick "word is our oyster" moments for NV it would be the acquistion of 3DFX and the launch of GF4.

Ok, is that compared to the slowest 6200(dont remember if there more versions of the Go models)? Btw i assume this is one of the 90nm parts nVidia said would come H2/05 and the other are the integrated 6100/50 so it would seem they only have some "7600" type of card left.

I'm thinking that this is a similar configuration to NV44 but with the additional MADD's in the second ALU's.

NVIDIA Site: 7300 Specs, 6200 Specs
I looks like a 50MHz clock increase (although those fill-rates are creative, that should be fragment rates by the looks of it) with the same PS & VS configuration - given that it was said to me to be "up to twice as fast" I would think my previous guess of the pipelines having G7x's extra MADD's to be the case. Given the increase, though, I wonder if this is 90nm or not. |

According to Nvidia G72 is 90 nm. Same configuration as NV44 with 7800's pixel shader pipeline improvements.
Frequencies on Nvidia's webiste are misleading (they wrote the 6200 128 Mo frequency instead of the 6200 TC frequency). GeForce 6200 TC 64 Mo : 350 / 275 GeForce Go 7300 TC 64 Mo : 350 / 300 40% improvement is Nvidia's figure. Not close to the reality as far as I know.

Well, I suppose they may be opting for a different power/heat envolope, but I'm surprised that clocks aren't increasing for a 90nm part. I wonder what foundry/process they are using.

TSMC 90nm Low-k - same as the NForce 410/430 GeForce 6100/6150 AFAIK.

Can we draw any conclusions from this as to the desktop G72? I vaguely remember someone suggesting desktop and mobile numbering wouldn't be comparable this time round, but my mind may be playing tricks on me.
