I just came back from the Winona Peach festival in Ontario Canada and they had the Xbox 2005 Unleashed thing.
The console looks pretty good. My impression after seeing it up close and seeing the colour and finish is that it reminds me very much of a PC midtower in personality.
It has that very flat, industrial look. Kind of cheap and plasticy looking, not at all like a typical glossy rich black of the typical home electronics.
Much better than the old Xbox though. The controller ok looking, about the size of the standard controller now, I would even say it looks a little smaller but it was sitting next o the console so I'm not sure.
Played a few of the game movie demos(COD2) with some remote hooked up to a Samsung HDTV. Not the 360 remote. No games to play.

Except for the shape of course. I was hoping for a glossy deeper finish. I guess seeing it in person took the mystique away.

I always hate the glossy look on anything. It looks great until you pick it up and then it's got finger prints all over. Dust and scratches also show up on glossy much more than a rough finish. I think Dell computers got it right with their standard black finish. Looks very nice when you buy it, and still looks nice 5yrs later.
