Good news for Japanese gamers. Not very significant outside that region. But then again, SE is a big company. Maybe they could help boost production and publish many of the games outside Japan. But I think we would have to wait next-gen for results. Their first confirmed next-gen project I believe, if I'm not mistaking, is a flight sim for 360.

I believe Square-Enix is STILL in the process of buying Taito... they've spoken with Taito and they're for it, but they haven't acquired 67% (the necessary amount for owership). They cement a deal with Kyocera for a good portion, but they still haven't hammeredout all the details, and they're not planning on going through with it till they have 67%... all or nothing.
