Default Return of the Sega Game Gear?

You read it here folks.

http://press.nokia.com/PR/200211/880103_5.html

and see it here:

Man I wish Nintendo had done this with the Gameboy Advance. I seriously doubt this handheld is going to get a lot of developer support. But with Nintendo behind it, it would be almost destined to be a smashing success.

Looks like a GBA (which looks similar to a Game Gear) but with a helluva lot more buttons.

I wonder which is a better performer out of this and th' GBA.. and I wonder if this one has a back-light.

*waits for a crowd of GBA-haters to come in and talk about backlighting*

battery life "when talking" is 2-3+ realistically... while playing games is going to go from 1.5 hours to 2 if the game doens't push it too much...

GBA does 15 hours with two cheap AA batteries... 'nuff said

If the designers were smart, they would use a transflective LCD or OLED

I think all of the new color LCD phones that are on the market today can be used with or without backlighting. They don't use the same LCDs as notebook computers except the Daylight series notebooks from NEC which doesn't need backlighting when used outdoors during the day.
