Default Will Microsoft release a black 360 too?

Found this picture on neowin. Will Ms release a black one too, or is the milky white one the only color planned?

I'm sure MS will release different colors later on, including black.

That picture looks like a very bad photoshop job of a normal white Xbox 360 publicity shot.

Xbox 360 beta kits are black -- you can find fuzzy pictures of them posted by developers who are breaking their NDAs.

MS could technically make Xbox 360s in any color they want, but they haven't announced any plans to offer them in different colors. On the other hand, they have offered different colors of Xboxes (as special versions), so perhaps they will do the same with Xbox 360.

My guess is that the customized face plates will make it less likely that MS will offer special body colors. All the "human energy" will be channeled into faceplates.

They'll release a black LE someday I'm sure. Either way, there are companies that will paint them professionally for like $50

Black on consoles looks at least 500% secksier than white, and DAMN, the x360 in black has KILLER looks!

Not sure if GLOSSY black would be so terribly hot tho - it might. Or perhaps matte black would be better, I haven't made up my mind yet.

They really should release it in black, not only does it look cooler but faceplates would merge much better and not be so obvious.

Some of the faceplates are amazing, i can't wait to design my own.

something like this would be cool with a black box:

I never thought about it that way, but you're right. Faceplates would kind of stick out more on a white console rather than a black one.

Well that really depends on the color of the faceplate. :P

The developers version of the X360 console is black, by the way. And 2-3'' higher.
