Wallaroo licenses ringtone character to appear in new game for Christmas
Speaking exclusively to GamesIndustry.biz, Stefan Heinemann, licensing director for Wallaroo, has revealed that ringtone character the Crazy Frog is to appear in his own videogame on PC, PS2 and GBA. The game will be "out by Christmas" and will be in the racing genre, according to Heinemann. "It will definitely be a game that's cool, but also annoying, just like the Crazy Frog," he said. "It's going to be a lot of fun." The Crazy Frog has become a European-wide phenomenon in recent weeks, selling millions of ringtones and mobile graphics and topping the singles charts across the continent. German software publisher DTP has signed up to produce the game on GBA, with CEO Thomas Baur commenting: "The Crazy Frog is one of the most popular licenses of today's entertainment market. It is an exciting project to apply all our developing and publishing experience." Wallaroo declined to reveal the name of the publisher signed up for the PC and PS2 games, but said an announcement will be made within the next week. |

Next gen consoles should ditch technology, quality titles, and any sense of class if they really want to be big.

Will he be indeceantly exposed or is the black square of mystery to follow him around in the game as well?
In other words; is he going to have his cock out? Personally I thought it was just a rather unusual inverted belly button, but it turns out that it indeed wasn't, which could possibly explain the large grin on his face. Dirty bugger. |

If you were to be able to do that 'brick scène' from Conker's Bad Fur Day with the frog's scrotum, I'd be all over it.
Sadly, that won't be the case...

I remember hearing an interview with the guy who made that sound. Seems like a decent fellow.

This is awesome in a horrible way!
A licensed fad gets a game released on three platforms, and it's supposed to be released around christmas - so they only have around six* months to create the game and get it out to retail! Perhaps we will see get a glimpse of how games would look if Ocean were still around? * perhaps a couple of months more if they jumped on the ship and started development when this fad just started. Not even Jamba deserves all the hate, it's the users that actually buy the crap that should be punished. I wish there was a way to hack their system so that when someone sends them money and start their download they get cancer instead of a silly ringtone. But I guess that's just one of my silly pipedreams |

i can only hope people who buy this thing have the intelligence to turn their phones off when they enter a place somewhere like a cinema or library, as if not, they will be surely be stomped on, most probably by me |

This is a very sad day for humanity, and my sanity, and I thought the crazy frog reaching the top of the charts in the UK was bad enough. This just takes the cake!
I wish this fad would end already.
