ATI Radeon 9600XT 128mb AGP Speed Problem
HI peeps, I am new to this forum, but I have been lurking for a bit trying to find a solution to my problem, to no avail.
Currently I am using the ATI Radeon 9600XT 128mb DDR video card with the latest catalyst drivers (I have also used the bundled (Hydravision?) drivers with my card and have the same problem). In Catalyst (SmartGART section) it says my AGP speed is currently 0x, when I try to set it to 8x and "retest" it, with the reboot, it always resets back to 0x with all of the AGP settings in "off" mode (Fast write etc..). When I first bought the card it never had these problems yet I have recently formatted and re-installed Windows XP and that's when the problem began. In my BIOS it says my AGP Capability is "8X" and fast write is enabled, has anyone ever had this problem and know of a solution for it? Thanks for your time, paulc. |

Try to install (or reinstall) chipset drivers; also, be sure to have the latest DirectX (9.0c).
