Default Anisotropic Filtering Test Application

'SamX' in our forums has produced an Anisotropic filtering test which to test how Hardware implements Anisoptropic Filtering. The test and the source code is now available for download here.

I'd like to see some results from a wide set of boards if possible, so if you could run the application with the default settings, but max anisotropic filtering for your board and send a screenshot of the results to wavey@beyond3d.com we should be able to compile a nice set of results.

Edit: Whoops - one other change from the default setting when taking a screenshot is to have the Mipmaps radio buttons set to 'Full Colored'

Update: OK, thanks guys. I've received lots of submissions for contemporary hardware, however I think some stuff on slightly older chips that support Anisotropic filktering would be good. I've not seen anything from GF2's and KYRO's etc.

Another Update: So far we have good shots from KYRO (1), GeForce (1), GeForce2 MX, GeForce2 GTS, GeForce3, GeForce4 Ti, Mobility Radeon, Radeon 8500 and Radeon 9700. Thanks Guys.

Actually, it's just PrintScreen - you don't need the Alt.

And I can tell you, that on a laptop with Rage Mobility you just get a big black dot on an otherwise white background

The Savage4?

Yes, there was a driver that forces Aniso in D3D only. No reg tweaks.
I dont remember the exact driver version.
its one of thse: 80905, 80907, 80908 or 80909.

And in the 3D Mark 99MAX(It was long time ago sn i used a Savage4 ) Filtering tests you can see that it does AF in every test.

Default So?

Could you please keep the first post updated with the cards that you already have the shots for? It'd really help us with access to several cards (though not in here with me at the moment) to check if it's worth to go and run the program on them.

oh well I dont think those drivers ever turned up when I had one Someone must have on integrated one somewhere (hang on - I've got one at work, though updating drivers is probably a sackable offence )

I could still do with a screenie of a Parhelia if anyone has got them. Also, I wouldn't mind some of a few different driver revs of a GF4 Ti (specifically 40.41 and 30.xx). Send them in png, tga, or zipped bmp formats if possible.

Cheers.

Default Savage4 anisotropic enabled drivers

Quote:

the following driver has support for anisotropic filtering : 8.09.02
and this driver disables it : 8.09.05 (due to some bugs)
i am not sure but these ones probably dont have support for it : 8.09.05, 8.09.07, 8.09.08 or 8.09.09
