I'm building a system for this guy for video editing. He isn't doing any major video editing. Just simple editing in Premier and other related software. I've compiled a quick list. Let me know what you guys think. thanks!

Yeah, don't get the "value" Audigy2. You only can use the drivers on the original CD you get to install it, regular Audigy2 drivers won't recognize the device.

A niggling complaint, but it annoys the bejeebus out of me every time I do a re-install. If I had to do it again I would have spent the extra $10-20 and just got a regular one.

Get bigger hardrives . Get a 200 gig drive and then a second for raid and mabye go dual raid if that something in the cards .

I just mess around and fill up my 500 gigs of space .

If its a video editing system, then you want a very stable setup and the Nforce3 is not the most stable out there. The SIS is the most stable chipset out there for S754 and S939 now and cheaper. Its not the best overclocking because of the board makers but this is a video editing system not a OCing system.

The X600 AIW or AGP 9600 AIW would be better for video editing because the Theater 200 chip has encode assest that will take some of the load off the CPU.

For a AGP mobo with SIS chipset here is one for $84
