Hanover, Germany, 8. March 2005 -
ATI Technologies Inc. is celebrating its 20th birthday at CeBIT in Hanover from 10th - 16th March 2005, with a large show presence together with its board partners, customers and sponsors. The entertainment area in Halls 25 and 27 consists of an ATI gaming sponsor area, partner park, history park, fun park and a meeting room area for invited guests. In addition to providing visitors with the latest graphics solutions for PCs, notebooks and consumer electronics, the ATI presentation will include a retrospective of inventions in the IT hardware, graphics and gaming industries as well as an insight into current activities with local area network (LAN) clans, board partners and other companies of the IT industry. One of the highlights will be the new Star Trek quiz provided by Sci Fi, the Science Fiction Channel of Universal Studios Networks and ATI.

ATI's press conference takes place on 11th March at 4 pm in the Hall 1 conference room. On the same evening, ATI will hold a special birthday party to celebrate two decades of ATI graphics solutions.

ATI partner area in Hall 27
The ATI partner area is located in Hall 27 to show a variety of IT and consumer electronics products. The partners presenting there include ATI's board partners, OEMs, ODMs and other hard- and software companies. Attendees will get the opportunity to see the latest graphics cards, PCs, notebooks, gaming software, computer entertainment products, and much more.

ATI history park in Hall 27
To celebrate ATI's 20th birthday, the history park will include an exhibition showing the highlights of the IT industry, graphics branch, the development of computer games in conjunction with ATI, and a retrospective of the last 20 years of CeBIT.

Gaming sponsoring in Hall 25, C08:
In the Shuttle gaming area, sponsored by Intel and ATI, the visitor will find several gaming competitions, including the most famous and world-class clans like SK-Gaming, two stages for interactive participation of the audience, various demonstrations, hardware workshops and 60 gaming PCs. The presentation will be hosted by the biggest E-sports league, ESL-Europe, and will be broadcast live. One of the highlights will be the "SK Boot Camp".

World Cyber Games (WCG) in Hall 27:
As part of ATI's support for the worldwide gaming community, ATI is together with Samsung one of the main sponsors of the World Cyber Games (WCG) for 2005. This year, a European gaming championship is sponsored at CeBIT, which will include over 300 gamers competing for $200,000 in prize money.

In addition to the activities with WCG, LAN clans sponsored by ATI, like MTW, Ocrana.ati and X6tense, will be present at the ATI booth.

"ATI is taking the occasion of its birthday to show that we are an innovative and creative brand," said Peter Edinger, Vice President and Managing Director, ATI Technologies (Europe) GmbH. "With this platform containing information, communication and entertainment, we are able to increase the partner awareness, to show our activities in the gaming sector and latest introductions in the gaming market. The cooperation with Sci Fi allows us to even better reach the target group of young gamers and technology friends."

"Our audience proves with its high interest on latest technologies and the choice of a digital broadcaster how important visual quality is," said Robert Kraus, Commercial Director USN. "ATI is one of the world wide leading companies offering 3D- graphics processors and therefore a guarantor for best visual quality. Both ATI and Sci Fi hold the same claim which makes them also in the off-air-segment ideal cooperation partners."

The whole ATI area will deliver pure entertainment and fun. On the ATI stage, demo games with world-class LAN clans, lotteries, presentations with partners, dance, music and TV shows will be presented. There will be more to see which you have to find out yourselves!
