Believe it or not, other than Revelations which warps people's minds upon reading the first passage, the rest of the Bible isn't open to much interpretation at all. Some interesting passages refute this 'Reverand's' interpretation:
"Levi gave a large dinner at his home for Jesus. Everybody was there, tax men and other disreputable characters as guests at the dinner. The Pharisees and their religion scholars came to his disciples greatly offended. "What is he doing eating and drinking with crooks and 'sinners'?" Jesus heard about it and spoke up, "Who needs a doctor: the healthy or the sick? I'm here inviting outsiders, not insiders--an invitation to a changed life, changed inside and out."-(Luk 5:29-32 MSG) From this we can see that Jesus willingly associated with sinners of all kinds. If Jesus were here today he would be down at the local gay bar, living it up and picking the choice moments to communicate his disagreements. "Jesus went across to Mount Olives, but he was soon back in the Temple again. Swarms of people came to him. He sat down and taught them. The religion scholars and Pharisees led in a woman who had been caught in an act of adultery. They stood her in plain sight of everyone and said, "Teacher, this woman was caught red-handed in the act of adultery. Moses, in the Law, gives orders to stone such persons. What do you say?" They were trying to trap him into saying something incriminating so they could bring charges against him. Jesus bent down and wrote with his finger in the dirt. They kept at him, badgering him. He straightened up and said, "The sinless one among you, go first: Throw the stone." Bending down again, he wrote some more in the dirt. Hearing that, they walked away, one after another, beginning with the oldest. The woman was left alone. Jesus stood up and spoke to her. "Woman, where are they? Does no one condemn you?" "No one, Master." "Neither do I," said Jesus. "Go on your way. From now on, don't sin." -(Joh 8:1-11 MSG) The parallel here is distinct. An adulterer (this lady is also described as a prostitute) is just as 'despised' by God as is a homosexual. But Jesus actually comes to her defence, indeed he explicitly states that he does not condemn her. It is plain to see that God despises not the person, but the act. Is it possible to interpret the Word incorrectly? Oh my yes, but only to those who haven't read the Bible! Even if you are not a Christian I recommend you read it, just so you can understand why people like this 'Reverand' are completely insane. And now a few words from Proverbs: "He that is void of wisdom despiseth his neighbour: but a man of understanding holdeth his peace."-(Pro 11:12 KJV)

Some of the policies I agree with are left while others are right.
I believe my political views end up around center. Although I'm pretty sure most people will call me Anti-American and Iran hater. Gunden, you seem quite left winged. Rev, I'm not quite sure what peeing has to do with politics but I think I get the picture.

Er, haven't y'all ever heard that old joke before?
Two guys are out drinking walking bar to bar and as they're crossing a small bridge over a stream they both need to relieve themselves so they piss over the side of the bridge into the river. The first man says to the second trying to impress him, "My this water sure is cold!" to which the second man replies non-chalantly, "And deep!".
