Default EverQuest 2 screenshots

Matt at 3DGPU was kind enough to slap these into the site's gallery earlier today. The four shots were taken at 1600x1200 with no AA or AF enabled and with the global setting of Very High Quality. The stout dwarf is yours truly, naturally, though the poor little guy has probably been wiped by SOE since the beta ended earlier today. But that's OK, his cousin will be born this Tuesday.

What? You're supposed to have FUN with MMORPG's? They exist simply for STRUGGLE and MIND-CRUSHING REPETITION to get PHATTER LEWTZ than anyone else!!!

At least so the conventional-wisdom-of-silly-people goes. :P

I have a lot of fun .

A mmorpg is like sitting around with your friends playing dnd . As long as you have friends you will have a good time .

thats the problem, i think this game might be too addictive. I just barely got out of the mud scene in the 90's

IF you have a wife or a gf . You can have her set up your time limits with a special password.

That way you can only play say 2 hours a day or 10 hours a week.

Considering account-selling services have been advertised on the back cover of gaming magazines lately, I don't think anyone actually cares anymore. They just pay lip-service so they if they ever WANT to crack down they CAN. But an RL market surrounding a game tends to only brace up its popularity, so that means more money for them--so why bitch and moan?

I'm still frustrated about the server identities, because they don't GOT none yet. I'm all for hooking up inside the EQ2 universe, but they've done their best so far to prevent us from actually pre-planning, and that bites. :? My friends have decided on evil, however, so I'm not sure how that might interfere with anyone else. (It is the one real separation and all.) My main(s) will be evil, but I'm sure I'll have at least one major Light alt at some point to play around.

Question to those who know: How many characters are going to be allowed at launch? I know they've been waffling on that front too, but I've heard anything from "four per server" to "one per server" to "four total in the WHOLE GAME" to "they'll allow a lot more than you'd want," and I'd really like to know what seems to be most solidly in place now, aimed for launch. (It will affect how I decide to create characters and on what servers and with which people, no doubt.)

Can't tell you . In beta it was 4 for the whole game.

I think it might be more likely 2 or 3 per server .

Anyway i'm most likely going to a good char at start . But that only matters up till lvl 18 . After that we can go back and forth with out any trouble to the diffrent citys .

Oh i'm going to be a conjour / sage . So if u need scrolls i will give them to u for cost .

My friend is going to be a wood worker so bows and arrows at cost .

Goes for any of u beyond3d guys
