Wmv Acceleration
I have installed the last cat's from ati's site, and I have a checkbox that says "Wmv Acceleration". I turn it on and nothing happens (1080 HD movies are choppy as always), but when I turn it on in omega's drivers, the clips are smooooth as butter, but they have "green artifacts".
Do you know what is happening and how can I enable it (working well of course)? I'd really like to watch 1080 HD clips in my ancient pc (xp2200). Thanks. |

What player and card do you have?
I am using the 8.07 betas on a 9800Pro and a XP2500 and everything is fine (I use bsplayer) |

Where do you find this checkbox? I've looked all over for it and it's just not there for me using the 4.9 dets...

The option isn't ready for prime time , i use a registry key to turn it on and in about 80% of the movies it works fine , my cpu utilization is around 10-15% when watching the highest movies . Only problem is the other 20% has green or pink artifacts like its being uncompressed .
If it is in your control panel it may be a bug thats showing it or you may have left a registry tick box open when switching between ati drivers and third party drivers. |
