well when your looking at pricewatch prices your looking at the most generic 6600s and x700s on the market. Weather you want a generic 3rd party brand of the card or pay extra for a name brand is up to you.

Since when are Leadtek and XFX considered generic?

Just noticed that XFX doesn't even have any NV4x based cards for sale off their own website. Nothing but NV3x generation, and at a steal of a price for a FX 5950, a mere $479! http://www.shipitforyou.com/xfx/

See some advertised for pre-order on overclockers.co.uk:

Leadtek WinFast PX6600GT-TDH is priced £130 (£153 inc VAT)
Leadtek WinFast PX6600TD is price £90 (£106 inc VAT)

Equivalent to $232 ($273 with VAT) for the GT and $160 ($189 with VAT).

Not as massively overpriced compared to the US as usual!

Guess you don't spend too much time on other forums. I've been hearing good things about them for a while now. I don't have first hand experience with Albatron, Gainward, Leadtek, Sapphire, Asus, Chaintech or BFG either (only PNY, MSI and eVGA) but that doesn't mean they aren't good brands.
