I tried only two...these are the results (WinXP SP1, Cat. 4.9, Radeon 9700):
1) Evolva: bump mapping is not applied to characters, only to background; 2) Slave Zero (Win98 compatibility mode): all 32 bit resolutions doesn't work. |

I never got EMBM to work in Dungeon Keeper 2 with my Geforce 3, even though I could tick the checkbox in the config menu, it was never applied in-game. I haven't re-installed the game, but my guess is it's hardcoded to only work with Matrox (G400?) cards even though it's a standard DX feature.

Yes, in DK2 EMBM is hardcoded to only work with Matrox G400 (like Expendable, if i remember well)...but not in Slave Zero: EMBM does work perfectly with R300...but only in 16 bit (the whole game doesn't start in 32 bit color mode, bump mapping or not... and only with my Radeon, no matter which drivers i use).
In Evolva BM is DOT3, and Radeon has some weird problems (see my previous post)...GeForce not. |
