I'm not able to begin the Quake 3 Arena Installation Setup in WinXP Home Edition with the Service Pack 2 Installed. What should I do to get it working?
Thanks in Advance Diego Grecco. |

copy the .pak's off the cd into a directory and install the newest quake3 patch to the same directory.

you just install the patch, that's it. the patch is a self extracting container file (think: zip file) that holds all of the "system" files for quake. the .pak has all the game data (it should be the biggest file on the disk). run the patch and it'll ask you "where do you want me to stick it". tell it the flder you copied the .pak to and it'll sh*t out the files there. run the quake3.exe from that folder (or manualy make the shortcuts) and you're set. well.. it'll ask you for a cd key o the first time you run it, but other than they you're set.
