The witness’s husband is a graphics artist, so this graphic reconstruction from the pair shows a football field-sized, wedge-shaped object with flashing red, blue and white “disco lights.�

‘Flying Triangle’ sightings on the rise

They have become legendary in UFO circles. Huge, silent-running “Flying Triangles� have been seen by ground observers creeping through the sky low and slow near cities, and quietly cruising over highways.


The National Institute for Discovery Science, or NIDS, has cataloged the Triangle sightings, sifting through and combining databases to take a hard look at the mystery craft. Based in Las Vegas, NIDS is a privately funded science institute with a strong research focusing on aerial phenomena. The results of their study have just been released, and lead to some unnerving, puzzling conclusions...

Why would the aliens decorate their ship with flashing colour lights, has always been a puzzle to me.
Wouldn't they want to conserve their power sources for such a long journey, the "disco lights" are just a waste of energy.

if they're actually aliens :? i really dont think they're concerned about power. i doubt UFO's are run on Li-Ion batteries.

maybe the lights are just a certain spectrum used to scanning. maybe the aliens just like to boogie woogie down all night. :P

actually the U.K. has the highest number of sightings. this is just msnbc, so they need to say USA.

A friend told me a few years ago he saw a big triangle with lights slowly moving near his house.
I have no idea what this is but it definately doesnt seem logical aliens would be flying around the earth :d
It is very unlikely that any aliens would be so close in development to earth, they would either be very primitive, have developed past any limitation in knowledge and so ability, have selfdestruct or have never been there.
I cannot think of any logical reason why the second option would have triangles flying over the earth or even let this life on earth continue.

perhaps the ufo sightings are the alien versions of the mars rover just mabye much more advanced. Perhaps they are here studying our race to see if we are cool enough to talk to.

Perhaps htey are just like us. They see another race and want to see what its like. See if they can learn anything. Perhaps they are lonely .
