Default If you haven't played it....

I'd like to take this opportunity to once again plug what is perhaps my favorite RPG game of all time. Planescape: Torment was just inducted into Gamespy's Hall of Fame, which you can read about here.

Unfortunately, this game can be somewhat hard to come by at the moment, given the essential demise of Interplay. But if you can find it, I highly recommend the game. Even today it's a fantastic RPG with a great storyline and very fun combat.

Planescape is by a HUGE margin the best DnD setting.
Too bad those lamers @ Wizards stopped publishing it.

Excellent game.

No 3d, only plain old 2d graphics and a marvel to play.

They don't do anything like that anymore.

Yep, great game! I remember fondly being off work sick for a week and played the whole game in that time. Best illness ever!

Is that based on the official D&D supplement of Planescape? With the lady-o-pain and all?

I kind of liked that supplement, I had a lot of fun playing it with a friend for a year or so about a decade back when we were both trying to find an alternative to hanging around in bars. (Hey, hanging around the basement playing D&D might be really geeky...but it's a hell of a lot cheaper than bar hopping every night!)

WOOO-HOOO!!!!

Thanks Chal, I'm gonna have to find meself a copy. It's been a looong time since I've played anything other than 3D-shooters, it'll be a nice change-o-pace to hold me over until HL2 comes out.

I remember reviewing Torment for 3dfxgamers.com and trying to find the words that would adequately express the high regard I held this game in. Without a doubt, this is one of the best RPGs ever.

Oh, and it's locked at 640x480. BIS almost released a patch after Baldur's Gate 2 was released that would've supported higher resolutions but weren't allowed to spend the time on it.
