I'm trying to capture my VHS home movies to burn DVD's but my problem is that when my capture card setting is set to DVDNTSC it strains my 1gig PII and causes major frame drops. I've been able to capture as high as MPEGII 'good' quality but then my Sonic MyDVD software has to transcode the entire capture and it takes for ever.
My question is does anyone know of an analog capture program that will allow me to adjust the quality of the DVD capture (with by lowering the resolution or knocking down the quality some) so as my lil 1 gig PII can handle it? Or is it possible to over clock my PII to be able to handle the capturing process? Thanks ahead of time.
