Yesterday i played GT4 Prologue..disappointing in my humble opinion. It looks like GT3 with some spectators exciting the arms and make photos with flash..only the backgrounds are improved.
I hope not to be blind even this way.. |

There is only so much they can do with the graphics... I've seen the game running on booths in shops and it looks slightly better than GT3. I must say, GT3, apart from some IQ problems that are common ground on PS2, looked amazing.
It still looks much more "real" than any other racer on any other platform, including PC, for some strange reason. And also, the best asset of GT games has never been their graphics, but the amount of cars and tracks, the handling, the options available, the general polish... |

But, at least in this prologue, i didn't see any graphics improvement ..perhaps Poliphony Digital had maxed out the PS2 with GT3? PGR2 is vastly better, much more polished (only graphically, of course)..i own both consoles and games. |

Yes of course PGR2 is more "clean" looking, although when i look at both, i can't help but wonder why GT3/4 just looks more REAL... And the fact that it runs at a perfect 60fps instead of PGR2's 30fps helps too.
If GT3/4 were tu run at half the framerate, i'm sure there could be a lot that could be added in the graphics department. Double of everything pretty much... |

Yes GT3 looks more "real", PGR2 is more "plastic"..designing choice i guess.
30 fps vs. 60 fps..i don't know, but when i drive the Ferrari "Enzo" (first person view)..well, everything run very fast.. :P |

Yes, i think so..but, as i discovered in "GT3 replay mode" thread..i'm blind!
Seriously: there's a difference, for sure..but, IMHO, it isn't as big as graphical one (Xbox advantage).. :P |
