heh...John Peddie did not run a fan site.
He ran a well respected firm (JPA - John Peddie Associates) that provided insight and gathered data on various aspects of the computer industry, with a special focus on graphics. "The Peddie Report" was published a weekly publication A fine fellow named Tommy McClain used to be employed by John Peddie...Tommy created / maintained the original JPA website. (He may still be lurking around here!) Tommy ALSO created "Dimension 3D", a web-site dedicated to providing info for 3D graphics, which I eventually took over for a brief period as editor. Prior to this site, Dimension 3D was "the place to be" for "unbiased" and technical info for 3D graphics, though the content of the site was more consumer oriented, and not nearly as technical in nature as this one. Quite a few of the visitors, and editors, here used to be regulars on the Dimension 3D forums. Anyway, John Peddie has recently moved on to other things, and "JPA" is now known as Penton Digital. http://www.pentondigital.com/research/ |

It's quite a step down from JPA to THG. What a pity.
