I was once to claim the same, but you like myself will always be a minority as developers target the INSTALLED user base, not 1% of the market that buy high end expensive cards.

As for losing in "frame rate" to a high end PC at 1080i resolution or 1080x1920 with a DUAL 7800 GTX vs. a Xbox 360, "frame rate" doesn't equal better graphics, developers make better graphics.
I hear what your saying. But there's no denying that playing a game at 1920x1200 with 4xSSAA/16xAF at a solid 60fps is better than playing the same game at 1280x720 with 2xFSAA at 30fps. Right now thats all that high end PC's can offer over the X360 but in a year or so other graphical features will start to be taken advantage of in PC games over consoles.

And a $3000 PC may not be worth it to you or I but to someone who $3000 is a months disposable income, they may prefer to spend it for the best gaming experience possible (assuming they like PC genres).
