Was anybody else as surprised as me at the 200+ list of operational BC games at launch? I mean I figured yea Halo 1,2 Fable and 10 other games or so.
They are missing some key games like NG and Splinter Cell and others but they'll possibly come later on. So has anyone herd is there some D3D cconversion trick to it or is it just a brute force solution? |

Ninja Gaiden[ and NG Black} are on the list. They are missing PGR 1&2, JSRF and Panzer Dragoon Orta.

I think it may work something like the xbox emulators that got started for the pc, which works something like a wrapper, but thats just a guess
and yeah I didn't think they would be anywhere near 200+ titles |

The size of the list is respectable, but I'm holding out to see how much better the games actually look. I was really hoping we would see games like Halo2 actually rendered at 720p, but the AA should at least be somewhat impressive. I will be very dissapointed though if games that are already 720p on the Xbox don't do the same on the 360.

Good list if you live in the US from 'Computer And Video Games'
While it's nowhere near as pitiful as yesterday's Japanese announcement, it's mildly disappointing to see that we've not done quite so well as our US cousins, whose list totalled 212 games. Us Europeans will be able to play a total of 156 titles come the 360's launch (with more on the horizon, obviously) - but hey, at least it's still a couple more than 12, right. and the japanese 12 are :- * Crimson Skies: High Road to Revenge * Fable * Forza Motorsport * Grand Theft Auto Double Pack * Halo * Halo 2 * Halo 2 Multiplayer Map Pack * Jade Empire * Ninja Gaiden * Ninja Gaiden Black * Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six 3 * The Simpsons: Hit & Run .... Most supprising one on the american list? Barbie Horse Adventure How many people actually play that?

Lots of the crappy games are probably by-products... Get one game to work and you probably get three others automatically. Such is the nature of emulators.

The PAL B-C list is shorter than the US, but I bet that's the fault of the germans, french, spanish, italians...etc who refuse to learn english and instead demand to have the games translated into their quirky little obscure languages... Not that I really care, I wouldn't waste a new brilliant piece of technology on running games made for old, sub-standard hardware...
