I was under the impression that the 3dmark fix was for manually inflating the scores (cheating). Maybe I am wrong though.

Hey guys I got a very noob question for ya. So I got the Omega version of the Cat 4.10 drivers and I ran it on my laptop...and I got a 2660 and keep getting the same score with a delta of 30-40 points at the most. THis is with DirectX and OpenGL settings in the control panel to application preferences and the texture and mipmap etc settings to high quality. My score is based on a non-oced grphx card. I was under the impression that there is AI and such in this version of the driver.
--Is that correct? --If that is correct then how do I use the AI optimizations? Is it thru the registry hacks you guys are talking about? --Another question is that I was under the impression the drivers were increasing performance of ATI cards with 256 mb of memory anywhere from 300-1200 points in 3dmark. How come I did not gain any performance improvements considering I have a Mobility Radeon 9800 Pro in my laptop with 256 mb of memory? -- Does it have anything to do with the hotfix from 3dmark that prevents inflated scores? I think not but I could be wrong... Well those are all the questions I have as of now. I was expecting with the new drivers to get a 300+ point increase so I could hit the 3k barrier |
