You should average around 45fps at 800x600 4xAA 4xAF w/v-sync on, and you should score around 12,500 on the D3 system mark.

Sorry, that was for Kruno. Your system will do about 50fps at 1024x768 w/4xAA 8xAF v-sync on and score around a 18,400 in the D3B.

this might be stupid but, on the other thread, regarding the Doom 3 Review, they said it run flawlessly on a 6800U at 1024x768, high detail... should we assume high detail implies not anything less than 4xAA and 4xAF, right?? because if that score is without any AA or AF then anything below a 9800Pro we´ll be totally screwed... and screwed as in not being able to run well even at 640x480...

Why do you even have to ask? Don't tell me you're actually worried?

With a system like that? WHY???

I have reason to ask, my system is P4 1.7 (oldest P4 core), GF3, 512MB RDRAM. A64, R300 1 gig, fuck, of course it'll run great. What the hell's wrong with you people?

I'm actually quite enthused about finding out how it runs on all my rigs:

2500+, 1GB PC3200, 9700 pro
Celery Tuly 1.4 @ 1.68, 512MB, AIW 9600 pro
PIII800 @ 921, 512MB, 5900 (flashed 5950ultra)
Celery 1Ghz @ (shockingly) 1Ghz, 512MB, GF4 ti4400

Should be interesting.

NO!!!!

I refuse to upgrade one component for the game until it is ACTUALLY out or at least a benchmark/demo is out so I can know how what I got actually performs.

Mehehe: I upgraded right in time! My last piece, the CPU should be here Friday...

Weekend rafting been postponed due to this frikkin' constant raining (did I mention I HATE THIS shitty, NEVERENDING rain?), so I can just relax and build my new system while my wife can finish all the Tivo'ed Sci-Fi series crap from this week...

/me a bit less angry now about this stupid rain...

According to what I've read, Doom3 will run just fine on my system.
(not sure about AA/AF though )

The specs that matter:
AthlonXP 3200+
nForce2 Ultra400
512MB ddr400
GeForceFX5950 (re-flashed 5900XT so only 128MB)

I'm hoping that the gamble I made in buying the FX will pay off. :?

(I only got it for 2 reasons: 1- Cheapness! 2- Doom3!! :P )
