Seems to be a (brief) BTS look at the live action/CG stuff shown at E3: http://www.methodstudios.com/work/the-commissioning

Sorry to ask a stupid man question (I've been trying to avoid Halo 4 stuff for fear of spoilers), but the game still has co-op, right?

And I'm not talking about no scrubber DLC, I'm talking about the actual game. The Halo 4 main game has co-op like Halo 1, 2, 3, ODST, Reach did, right?

Hooray!

Thanks. I was starting to get worried that this Spartan Ops stuff was instead of a proper Chief and friends/clones co-op mode.

Hype restored. All I need now is for Arby and Shipmaster to pop round and be like "hey guy what is going on in here" and it'll be a full on old school excitement, just like the days when I didn't get back ache.

Nice...

Though suspected, I guess that confirms we'll go aboard the Infinity ship at some point during the game.

Coop: 2 player? Spartan Ops: 4 player?

Ugh... They better have 4 player Co-Op story mode. If not it'll be a little bit less great.

According to Frankie, campaign is still 4-player co-op.

Also if this is true, the MP requires an install:

Quote:
"At a minimum, you'll need at least an 8GB USB Flash Drive or an Xbox 360 Hard Drive to play Multiplayer mode in Halo 4," reads the official Xbox.com product page (via OXM). "For an optimal experience playing with an Xbox 360 Hard Drive is highly recommended."

It's possible that the recently revealed Spartan Ops campaign, which will eventually feature 12 "incremental" hours across 50 missions, will increase required HDD space even further.

Yesterday Microsoft released a teaser trailer for its live action Halo web series.
http://www.computerandvideogames.com...e-8gb-install/

Edit:

Looks like this is true:

I think they've taken out online 4 player split screen though.

Reach had 2 way split screen for campaign but 4 for MP iirc. If normal MP goes split screen only then it better look fantastic. And while I liked 4 way local it is HARD to see squat.

IMO 4 way local was pretty damn playable and great for when you had friends over - the only real problem in Reach was the stupid UI design issue to not truncate the killfeed and so it would frequently end up obscuring your reticle.

However, the game details page for 4, does not bode well for fans of local multiplayer:

All the traditional split-screen modes will be supported as well, including 4-player local split-screen and 2-player split-screen online.
Not only does it not seem to support taking 4 players splitscreen into online MP but system link seems to only support 1-4 players. Which either means only 1 player per 360 (when playing with a total of four 360s linked) or 2 players per 360 (with two 360s linked).

If that's true, then I don't see my friends playing much Halo 4 MP since we usually are only able to set up two 360s and TVs and it has always worked great with Reach and 3 where you could have 8 people playing. So that would be a huge disappointment.

Also, I noticed the Halo website has been updated to show all the different armor abilities and loadout options:

I've just pre-ordered along with Borderlands 2. These and Last of Us (along with Dragons Dogma and Kingdoms of Amaluar) are probably going to be the last purchases I make on this gen of consoles.

I wonder when we will see a FF / Spartan Ops forge ... Halo 5?

Headphones and 22" LCDs are cheap, what seems to be the problem? If you're a semi-serious gamer having a couple of spare 22" LCDs shouldn't be a problem? Seems much less cumbersome than "Lan Parties"...

Aw come on, what the hell is this shit? Why are you confusing income and space with passion or fun?

We had a load of fun with Halo 1, two tvs and two Xboxes back in the day. The fun happened when it happened, without having to buy and store spare consoles and tvs. If you have money to spend on two spare 22" tvs you have money to spend on more games and consoles, which is what any semi-serious gamer would prefer to do.

Ah, thank you.

I was wondering why this thread was lacking any technical discussion...

Looking good. Thinking about this, they even brought in Ayelet Zurer (Munich, Angels & Demons) - an actress who actually did military serice.

That is correct! I believe she is from Israel which means she has to do training and service.
I also recognized the actress from "Narnia".

I think it will be really great, given the actors who are taking part in this project
