Default James Cameron hits rock bottom!

The well-known, irate movie director and hobbyist adventurer has now visited the deepest point on planet Earth, and returned. Still alive, just like GladOS.

Apparantly this project goes under the name of Deepsea Challenge. There's a website about it here, with some interesting stuff to read and look at.

It's going to be real interesting when they start releasing videos and more information about any discoveries made during the voyage. For example, Cameron's sub is equipped with 3D cameras and a ~2.5 meters tall LED light array, so that distances and the scale of objects seen in the resulting video can be determined.

He already hit rock bottom with Avatar. How could he possibly go lower?

I got the meme reference but didn't comment on it as it's just adding noise to the thread.

Could we have some discussion on the topic now please, if anyone actually have anything to say about it, or just let it drop like a rock off the front page if nobody really cares.

Thank you.
