Never finished the game, but I've probly sunk over 100 hours into it over the years with different characters. Furthest I've ever been is the beginning of asialand.

I hear it has a single-player campaign... You know, that which used be the main focus in shooter games before Counterstrike appeared.

IIRC, it's not really a single player campaign. It's just the multiplayer maps played with bots and strung together with a bit of narrative and some movies.

Thinking of getting the Cave Story too but wasn't that a free game

Not really. Its a amalgamated experience where there's no real difference between SP and MP. Its just that Bots get replaced by humans in MP.

Oh. Well, that's disappointing then. I haven't played the game even though I own it. I thought there was a proper SP campaign, so now I dunno when I'll bother to run it, if at all.

Finally Deus Ex on sale!!

I grabbed that and Riddick as I plan on giving my DVD copy to my brother.
The game is excellent so I didn't mind Ł3.75 for extra digital copy .

Yesterday I also grabbed Red Orchestra 2, is anyone playing it?

Not from what I've heard. Particularly weak for single player.

Steam servers bowing under the load... Erroring when trying to download some of my purchases.

Getting Braid, World of Goo, Limbo and some other Indie game, Hydrophobia and then the Overlord pack. I played the original game on my PS3, it was pretty fun. Not sure about the followups, but it's so cheap at -75% it's not a big deal if they suck.

I loved Overlord on PC, bought complete saga last round of sales, but so far haven't had time to delve into it. The dark humour was great in this game

I think it's mediocre for certain, from what I've read about it. Whether it's better or worse than FEAR 2, who knows. I haven't played it. Comments and reviews made it sound like the coop aspect was more important to the developers than the single player. Forum comments were saying it's the weakest of the series but forum people frequently have lost perspective and gone nuts.

Ah... yeah, i had the feeling the co-op was more significant, not that it looked any good. Isn't there a survival/defense type mode too?

Man I love these sales, I think I just bought my entire 2012 gaming in 5 days. Add Mass Effect 3 and Bioshock Infinite and that's basically it, gives me 10 games to play which will easily take me all of 2012, until the next steam holiday sale
