![]() Only 1 month to go. This is going to be the most comprehensive shooter on the Wii both graphically and gameplay wise to date. A list of compiled information can be viewed here on GameFAQs., http://www.gamefaqs.com/boards/99181...uit-2/57147873 Here are screenshots for those who are interested. http://image.com.com/gamespot/images..._screen006.jpg http://image.com.com/gamespot/images..._screen001.jpg http://image.com.com/gamespot/images..._screen005.jpg http://image.com.com/gamespot/images..._screen005.jpg http://image.com.com/gamespot/images..._screen003.jpg http://image.com.com/gamespot/images..._screen008.jpg |

I agree. The only bad thing I noticed are the environment textures. Most of them have no texture effects on them and they look med-res which is a huge contrast to the detailed character models.
I don't see why they can't just reuse the same texture effect over and over again on the environment like what was done in the Xbox games. Its a cheap tactic to be sure but it would look a hell of a lot better and most people wouldn't even know they were doing it. It would also use less system resources allowing more special effects like more shadows(shadows cast by light sources) and reflections. |

They just keep getting better and better with this. If they would make environments a little more lush then this would be perfect.

Is there a way to connect something to my television that records the frame rate? The frame rate was left uncapped for the Conduit 2 and I have honestly never seen a game with animation as fluid as this on the Wii. It is definitely far above 60 FPS for I would recognize a 60 FPS game a mile away but I have no idea just how high it gets.
I remember that Red Steel 2 was said to be 85 FPS and this looks to be way more fluid. I would post a video but all I have is crappy camera that would get a very good quality video from my television. |

I could be mistaken but doesn't the video data transfer protocol between Wii and your TV have a hard-limit set to the TV refresh rate?
You could try plugging your Wii to AV input on a PC and see what it shows there. |

i dont think it can display anything exceeding ntsc or pal. so 50-60hz depending on region.
modern televisions cant display higher refresh rates either. some hd crt's from the late 90's were able to when driven by a pc. anyway, the game still looks sick for wii. |

The games graphics are hit and miss. The enemies and specific objects have excellent texture effects. Most of the wall and ground textures ,however, look med res and washed out. They contrast greatly which is kind of an eye sore, like in this picture. http://image.com.com/gamespot/images..._screen001.jpg They really should have just EMBMed all of the auxillary textures. I don't see the point in adding detail to the environment when that detail doesn't look go. The only means I have of connecting my TV to my computer is S-Video and I have to have it on the proper channel to do so, so I can't do it by connecting it to my computer as far as I know. I have a digital camera though I don't know if it can capture fast enough. I suppose I could try that. |

Hmmm the screens make me think of Halo 2. It's the low detail backgrounds set against fairly detailed models that does it.
![]() ![]() Ignoring the amazing bullshot antialiasing, I think it's clear they are in the same class. |

That game had over a hundred detailed enemies on screen fully mapped with texture effects as well as detailed lighting, grass, trees, water, destructible environments/enemies and special effects with online no less. Why the hell can't anyone else do that? And why wasn't it released over here? *cries in a corner* http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=--qoj2ktIdU http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VCM2O...eature=related http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WGq0Dc_C58o http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P63iw...eature=related That is honestly the most impressive game I've ever seen on the Wii. This makes me look at games like Dead Rising for the Wii and Black Ops in shame. Last edited by lilbroK; 13-Jul-2011 at 15:00. |
