3DLabs Wildcat VP Graphics Accelerators Selected For HP Distinctive Graphics Program
First Windows-based Workstation with 512 MB of Graphics Memory

MILPITAS, Calif. - Aug. 4, 2003 - 3Dlabs® Inc., Ltd., a leading innovator in professional visual processing, today announced that three products from the Wildcat VP family of workstation graphics accelerators have been selected for the HP Distinctive Graphics Program. The Wildcat VP870, VP880 Pro, and VP990 Pro are available to HP workstation xw5000, xw6000, and xw8000 customers through HP’s reseller network. 3Dlabs is a wholly owned subsidiary of Creative Technology Ltd. (Nasdaq: CREAF).

This achievement widens the availability of the memory-packed Wildcat VP Pro product line-up and is designed to enable HP to provide a range of cutting-edge graphics solutions, including the first Windows workstation with a full 512 MB of graphics memory. "The selection of three different price/performance options from the Wildcat VP family for the HP Distinctive Graphics Program is a testament to 3Dlabs’ graphics quality and performance for every level of workstation user," said Jerry Peterson, executive vice president and general manager of 3Dlabs workstation division. "Together with the previous certification of the Wildcat4 accelerators, HP and 3Dlabs are providing customers with high-performance, memory packed and reliable workstations that provide outstanding real-world productivity on any budget."

To be selected for the HP Distinctive Graphics Program, 3Dlabs’ Wildcat VP870, VP880 Pro, and VP990 Pro graphics have been functionality tested and fully certified on HP hardware. The certification process includes testing the graphics cards with an extensive suite of specialized applications to ensure that seamless compatibility is offered to HP’s customers.
