Default ehm, strange bug with nv drivers and D3D tubes

with the 42.30 and 42.01 drivers I can only use the FSAA modes that include SSAA

ie all MSAA modes does nothing
quincunx and 4x-9tap only applies the blur but they don't actually AA (though I think I'll grab some screenies of this, kinda cool to isolate just the blur effect)

I really want to grab some screenies here for an article, does anyone have any ideas on how to make it work
(the strange thing is that it worked just fine yesterday, I've tried reinstalling the drivers of course but that didn't help)

now this is even funnier
as I said I only get the blur effect when using 4x9tap or quincunx
but when I grab a screenie it comes out crystal clear

too bad the new AA modes only are availible in 42.01 and up

btw perhaps I wasn't clear earlier
when I use the MS+SS combinations I only get the SSAA, the MSAA is left out

ahh thanks, hadn't realized that it wasn't "capturable"

though I seem to recall websites with shots of QC when you see the blurring very clearly (no pun intended)

Two words:

JPEG compression

Quincunx in action doesn't look THAT bad, at least in the Half-Life Uplink Demo... (the only 3D game I had while in Germany; my aunt has a GF3 Ti200 system) yes it does blur text but the 3D stuff looks fine, esp. with 8x AF.
