Default So eNCHANT aRM will come out with 2 DVDs?

This is on the homepage. Look next to DVD. It says 2 next to it. Maybe "one" can come in a translate for us.

"The volume of data in Enchant Arms won't fit into a single DVD. It's an RPG, so we're thinking it would be inevitable that we release it on two discs," says Takeuchi. "But to be honest, that's even looking grim."
Looking grim? Is he hinting at possibily 3 DVDs?

Just a basic translation of the website. It says 2 then it has Japanese symbols next to it. I don't know what the website even says.

I'm not really sure what you want still, to be honest, but the two Kanji after the 2 reads as Maigumi. It's a counter used for CDs and DVDs and so forth... you know flat objects and sets of things. Japanese has specific counters for various things, don't worry about it. Anyway, it basically says 2 DVDs.

The article that you quoted originally said they were working on using compression to help alleviate the space problem. Look's like they found a way, compression or otherwise.

EDIT:

Is there anything you're particularly interested from the site... sorry, I just... I dunno what you want.

Mck, I figured I just go through the site throughout... I'm no one though, so I'm going to paraphrase and be a bit liberal.

Story: prologue

1000 years ago there was a war entitled the "Golem War". People used Golems to fight (think war dolls), but in the end they just wrecked everything. At some point the war ended and in time they rebuilt. Rather than using the Golems for war they used them to power the rebuilt cities. They sealed them and used there power, which was entitled "enchant". Will they repeat their mistakes of the past?

Story:Outline

Atsuma, the main character, goes to school (college) in Yokohama where he studies Enchant Synthesis. Now, Atsuma has a special right arm with some sorts of power (didn't say). Well, one day an earthquake occurs due to a Golem. Atsuma being the blockhead he is tries to use his right arm's power to stop the Golem and as such, revives Queen of Ice, one of the worst "Devil Golem" from the war. Why what where and how follow as Atsuma searches for answers and is aided by his friends and so on.

Story:Scenario

A story of friendship centered around Touya and Atsuma. Lots of emotions will fly misinderstandings, fear, fights, values, and so on played out deeply and richly (in other words angsty). Lots of trouble and confrontations for Atsuma and Touya. More info to come. Also, Edge Works is doing the scenario and they've done a lot of good stuff.
Link:

http://www.edge-works.co.jp/pdf/Edgeworks(English).pdf

Characters: Main Characters

Atsuma - Student of Enchant Synthesis at Yokohama Uni. He's your standard character to acts without thinking, unlike his good friend Touya. He's called the "Red (I'm not sure ^^; I think) Ameba (sp)".

Touya - Also a student, same as Atsuma. He's calm calculating and called the "Blue COmputer". Kay.

Makoto - Another student. A good friend of the two above. (He's refered to as an Okama, which is essentially gay, but kinda a little flaming gay). Atsuma calles him "Yellow girly man" (I'm being liberal... not that I wasn't already).

Karin - Martial Arts student training in Lodon. She's a force in her own right, and as standard per design she fiesty and a lot to handle.

Raiga - Big ol' swordsman guy. Kinda the opposite of Karin. He owes Karin's Daddy a lot, so he's taken up the job of Karin's bodyguard of sorts to repay the kindness.

Queen of Ice - The Golem seal under Yokohama. She's a "Devil Golem". Female body with Ice attribute powers. Advanced intelligence.

System

Talks about HD resolution and the standard adoptions in US and Japan and how the vertical line increase to 525 so the image will be prettier. Talks about 4:3 vs 16:9.

Pretty buildings are now possible as well as dynamic light and shadows. Character facial animations are gonna increase and make it even more realistic and such the player will be able to connect better.

Cinematic worlds overflowing with expression and emotion (i.e. PR blah blah). THe friendships will be a focus. Bonds and conflict, friendship and misunderstandings, things lost and things gained, (so they say).

I don't feel like going through the rest... basically it said there's gonna be an artbook and art will appear in some magazines. Unless you priate, import, or live in Japan it won't change anything knowing about it.

It's not a horrible thing but I wonder how many future X360 games will have to be released on multiple disc? Did the GC have any disadvantages with the same senerio this gen?

I don't see how its a disadvantage first off and second of all we don't know how many ps3 games will ship on bluray as its argueble that a sd bluray disc can cost more than 2 dl dvd discs

One game for the gc that used 2 discs is re4 and it was a great game and switchign the disc did not detract from it at all. As i've said in the past we are talking about 20 hour games here not 2 hour movies .
