Windows 2000 optimizing
I was just wondering if any of you guys had any tips for optimizing W2k.

Yeah, install XP SP2 over it
 Try some googling, there are MANY guides out there.

what kind of optimizing are you thinking of, getting a few extra FPS, or just some stability/functionality tips?

Off the top of my head, I would say which processes can/should I turn off. I mainly mean to speed up windows itself

open up administrative tools -> services
c wot kinda services u dont need start with windows and change their start up setting to either manual or disabled... the servives that i tend 2 set 2 manual r automatic updates, messenger, performance logs and alerts, remote registry service, task scheduler, print spooler (since i dnt have a printer.... that can free up quite a few resources... also look up for tcp/ip hardening and various NTFS options.... win2k is a very secure and powerful OS for me with quite a few hidden options
