Yahoo News UK tells us that
flat plastic screens are what we're going to be looking at in the future.
"The market for light emitting screens is expected to grow from $20-25 million (13 - 16 million pounds) in 2000 to over $3 billion (1.9 billion pounds) by 2005, and CDT's Light Emitting Polymer (LEP) screens are expected to grab a majority chunk of that."
Personally I can see advertising executives rubbing their hands with glee at the thought of a thin, light and relatively inexpensive medium capable of displaying any video stream they can conjure up.
An article by Nils Dahl over at Van's hardware gives a non white paper run down on
hypertransport and his views on what should and could be done with it. It seems likely that HTT and it's sibling new generation interfaces will slowly but surely lead to a slow revolution in the way our hardware comunicates.
