    Braid Anniversary Edition

That is fair. From a technical standpoint, the decisions might have been inovative and novel for the time. By constructing levels of freely stamped bitmaps without adhering to a tileable grid. It was a time where it waa uncommon to see well polished indie games, and the AA and AAA productions...

    Braid Anniversary Edition

I include the music in that too. I like Blow, but braid is very aesthetically unispired in my opinion. Witness is unbelievably better.

I'm 100% confident of a gameplay reveal of the Perfect Dark Rebbot... To not happen at all.

Digital Foundry Article Technical Discussion [2024]

I think its improbable that assets have much to do with it. At this point in time, game tech is at a relative PBR standardization paradigme regarding that stuff. I think some of the Lumen optimizationz were simply not "non-destructive" towards final output. If their final gather aproach is still...

Digital Foundry Article Technical Discussion [2024]

Even though Alex did acknowledge it, its worth pointinf it out again. The constan boiling jumped at me often throughout the video. Its not a small quality regression. I consider it pretty major, to be honest.

    Nintendo GOing Forward.

What a shame. I think part of why switch was successful was that nintendo was not doing what everyone else was doing. I hope they dont go the path of current slow AAA development.

    Switch 2 Speculation

VRR support on all machines is actually great for alternative framerate lower than 60 but still higher than 30. PS5 and Serieses support it but most consumer dont have displays that output it. On a portable, that option will see much more dev adoption

    Tomb Raider remakes

According to some people in denial, that worry was completely conspiracy-minded reacnionary halucination. It wasnt. But we are living the "vibe-shift". The heavy-handed moral posturing meant to appease perpetually on-line socially-innept twitter people is dying off of natural causes. Finally. A...

2024 may not be kind for game developers.

My take: I'm ine of those hipsters that enjoys cheesy kitsch art and decor ironically, and as such I love dogs playing poker paintings. And, uhhhh. something AI game productions.

2024 may not be kind for game developers.

Mybe you missed a couple posts, but Johnny said generarive AI tools are likely to enable a lowering of production costs. Random Guy countered that he thinks AI is not good enough for AAA, might at most be useful for low budget productions. His example was AI is producing dogs playing poker...
