Game development presentations - a useful reference

Another one from GDC 2024: Maximizing Graphics Performance with Flexible Virtualized Geometry Supports the consoles and 3 different engines at the moment. Would like to see some fancier demos and comparisons with 1px triangles as they menioned that doesn't affect the quality. Also not sure about...

    Unreal Engine 5, [UE5 Developer Availability 2022-04-05]

There is quite a bit of detail about TSR in this feedback thread. Details on optimisations, changing how they measured it as the quality depends on the framerate as well as the input resolution.

    AMD RDNA3 Specifications Discussion Thread

When discussing Snowdrop they talked about "smarter ray processing than what DXR alone can provide" which seemed like the opportunities mentioned in console development and what some comments from Epic devs have brought up. Was expecting more performance for RT and would have like more details...

    Nvidia GeForce RTX 4090 Reviews

Falcor might be worth trying too as it's used in recent research by nvidia. In their presentations they talk about the importance of the caches so I expect 4090 would benefit a lot.

Intel ARC GPUs, Xe Architecture for dGPUs [2022-]

Nice. I'm still waiting for my A750 from an Intel competition "before they're even available" Curious to try UE5 and DXVK, there also seems to be DLSS2XeSS by the dev who worked on similar patches for FSR. Not sure what I think of the performance yet, I know 3D Mark isn't very...

Simplygon post on Micro Mesh: https://simplygon.com/posts/aeec95de-79f1-40d1-b72f-e121e90648c0 I'm guessing the workflow may be similar to how normal maps are used. From the pictures it looks like the triangles are handled individually and possibly with different tessellation factors. They're...
