Yeah I guess it doesn't really make sense unless it's only available on GP. No one who might be interested in Warzone would choose to use GP for it if they don't have GP already.

It's my understanding from the feedback from the devs that it's a combination of updated and new reviews, likely a majority of updated ones.

To promote the GP product, gain MAUs to draw gamers to additional products available there.

Warzone is free-to-play and generates a stupid amount of ongoing revenue from battle passes and the hundreds of theme packs. Put that on game pass and entice even more millions of rapid CoD smack talking kids.

The information is barely related to the game and is probably more suited to RSPC. I think there are many of us here that prefer to keep the game thread on topic to the actual game, rather than ongoing updates on one of the game's community managers and their social activities.

I hope all those players who have a negative review because of this go back and update them.

ok, that's fine. But clearly 3rd party accounts are not required for either multiplayer, nor applying account-level bans or other modifications to targeted players. And this has been the case since Steam first existed.

I don't get it. Are you saying those two titles requiring 3rd party launcher proves you must have some kind of 3rd party account in order to ban players in any steam game?

I know the point is that the warning was there from the start, but note that for those two examples and many others like it, external accounts are needed because those games run off dedicated launchers that are required. Helldivers does not require any kind of PSN launcher.

Is there a particular reason Sony wants PSN accounts for Helldivers? Obviously it's not required for the game to function. Is this just harvesting personal details? Or with it linked are they getting a share of in-game micro transactions?
