I partially agree but they can add it deep in the options then a warning message before you can unlock the full clocks indicating that this mode is not optimal for battery life. This shouldn't be an advertised feature just a fan service option hidden deep in settings.

There's a rumor that docked performance of Switch 2 is roughly a PS4 Pro/ Series S. The thing I couldn't understand is why limit handheld mode to lower performce instead of giving the choice entirely to the user?. if it's about battery life then you can easily connect your Switch to a power bank...

If they had it it's probably not going to be a one time purchase like an app, they'll more likely tie it in with PS+ for continouos revenue as consoles already transformed into subscription boxes.

Problem with that is those devices aren't gonna be connected on SOC level and whatever connection between them is going to suffer from latency which is very important to co-processing. I believe it's one of the main reason SLI/Crossfire didn't really take off.

Slightly OT but I wonder why PS3 emulation wasn't done on PS5 given it's more suitable judging by the CPU it has should be enough to emulate the Cell?.
