View Full Version : Large terrains - how?
If we look at games like Asheron's Call 2 and World of Warcraft, they both include huge outside terrains. They're not the same 10m solid tunnels I've used to because of Quakes but terrains which go on kilometer after kilometer. Now I'm wondering how these large outside terrains are created nowadays? What are the options when one wants to create a huge terrain scene?

How about using Google?
I typed in "Thatcher Ulrich" + "terrain"
and found this (http://www.tulrich.com/geekstuff/) as the first link. It seems to be the correct homepage.
